Child-Theme Ready

Social Links on Home Page

We’ve built into Theme 500, the four most popular Social Network links – right on the home page.  Link directly to your sites Facebook or Twitter page.  And pick which ones to use, and which  ones to leave off.

Dynamic ‘More Projects’ button

Theme 500 knows when you have more projects than will fit on the home page.  If you’ve got 3 projects and only 3 on the home page, the ‘More Projects’ button doesn’t show its face.  More than 3 projects on your site, and it conveniently displays on the home page.

About This Site section on Home Page

Under Theme Settings, easily customize the content you’d like to display in the home page below the Projects section on your home page. You have a full WYSIWYG content editor at your disposal.

Use text based Site Name, or upload your own Logo.

Under Theme Settings you can easily upload your own logo, or leave it untouched to allow your header to use the Site Name you provided in WordPress Settings.

3 Sidebar Widget locations

We know sometimes you want something on your home page only – maybe your most recent blog posts.  There’s a Sidebar Widget container directly to the right of the ‘About This Site’ area.

There’s also a Widget Sidebar below the Project levels on all Project pages.  And there’s the usual Page and Post sidebar that has become a standard in any theme.  Get creative with what you use in each sidebar!

Bundled with Font Awesome 3.0

We’ve bundled the whole 240 icon set from Font Awesome directly into Theme 500.  Easily add some extra character to your posts and projects with the Font Awesome icon set.

Font Awesome is a pictographic language of web-related actions – basically, it’s a font made of of images instead of letters. You can easily style the icon color, size, shadow, and anything else that’s possible with CSS.
